All four health funds have clinics inside Givat Shmuel, and four major hospitals are within a short bus ride. Here is what I found, with each fund's own data where I could get it.
The clinics
- Maccabi: two medical centres, at 11A Ben Gurion St (03-7344222) and in the Rogovin centre, 38 Sderot Begin (03-5327689), plus a Maccabi pharmacy at 11 Ben Gurion St. Maccabi's service guide lists English for 27 of the 28 doctors it shows in Givat Shmuel (family doctors, paediatricians, gynaecologists and specialists). Some are in the doctors section.
- Clalit: two clinics, each with a pharmacy: 10 Be'eri St (03-7385200) and HaGiva in the Rogovin centre (03-5310760).
- Leumit: 18 Ben Gurion St (03-5323024).
- Meuhedet: on HaNasi St. Directories give the address as 75 or 73 HaNasi and the phone as 03-7385501; Meuhedet's own site blocked my checks, so confirm with them.
The Tipat Halav (mother-and-baby clinic) is at 6 David Elazar St (Clalit lists 03-5322664).
Pharmacies, including Motzei Shabbat
- Super-Pharm, 23 Sderot Begin (077-8882470): Sun-Thu 08:00-23:00, Fri 08:00-16:00 and Motzei Shabbat 20:00-23:00. It takes prescriptions from all four funds and the IDF.
- BE in Kanyon HaGiva: Clalit listed Motzei Shabbat hours of 18:30-22:00 the week I checked.
Urgent care
- Terem Bnei Brak (Ichilov), 160 Jabotinsky Rd: open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Terem Petah Tikva, 182 Rothschild St (above Super-Pharm): every day including Shabbat, 09:00-23:30.
- Terem says the co-payment differs between health funds, and a doctor's referral or some Ministry of Health exemptions can waive it. The national info line is 1-599-520-520.

Mayanei HaYeshua runs its emergency department 24 hours a day, all year. Its contact page said that until the end of 2024 Meuhedet and Maccabi members were accepted with a referral for most services, while Clalit and Leumit members needed a form 17 or payment: check the current arrangement with your fund. Beilinson has an English website and an international division. Metropoline lines 7, 8, 8A and 69 run from Givat Shmuel to Sheba.
Mental health and support
- Bar-Ilan offers confidential student counselling (03-5318450), and the International School has a welfare coordinator.
- Social services list after-hours lines: municipal hotline 108, the Welfare Ministry 118 and ERAN emotional first aid 1201 (24/7).
- The religious council's site links medical gemachs and aid organisations: Ezer Mizion, Ezra LeMarpe, Yad Sarah and ZAKA's medical equipment gemach.
What I could not confirm
I found no Leumit or Meuhedet urgent-care centre of their own nearby, and no Bikur Rofe. If you know the local options better, tell me with the email button on the About page.
