Privacy Policy

Who we are
This policy explains how Anywhere Reality Industries LLC, a Delaware limited liability company (Consult With Ari) ("we") handles personal information on the Givat Shmuel Local website. Anywhere Reality Industries LLC is responsible for this information (the "controller" or "database owner").
What we collect and why
The site does not ask you for any personal information. You can browse it without giving us your name, email or any other details.
Like every website, our hosting provider automatically receives technical information when you visit (IP address, browser and device type, pages requested, date and time). It is used to deliver the site, keep it secure and fix problems.
When you contact us directly
If you contact us by WhatsApp, phone or email, your message and contact details go directly to us. We use them only to answer you and to handle your request, and we don't add you to any mailing list without your permission.
Service providers we use
We share information only with the service providers below, and only as needed for the purpose described. Each has its own privacy policy:
- Base44 (Wix.com) – Hosts this website and its database of listings, events and guides. When you load a page, the hosting servers receive technical data such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time, and the platform gives the site owner anonymous page-view counts. (privacy policy) (opens in a new tab)
- Hebcal – Calculates Shabbat times, zmanim, the weekly parsha and haftarah, the daf yomi and the Jewish calendar. This site's server asks Hebcal for the city centre's times; your browser, location and IP address are not sent to Hebcal. The holiday banner and the holiday guide read a calendar file that is built into this site from Hebcal data when the site is published, so viewing them makes no request to Hebcal. (privacy policy) (opens in a new tab)
- MET Norway (and Open-Meteo as a backup) – Provide the weather forecast. This site's server asks for the city centre's forecast; your browser does not contact either service. (privacy policy) (opens in a new tab)
- OpenStreetMap – Map tiles in the directory, on listing pages and on the other pages that show a map. They load only after you choose to show maps; your browser then requests map images from OpenStreetMap, which receives your IP address. If you use "Near me", your location is used only inside your browser to sort the list and is never sent to us or to anyone else. (privacy policy) (opens in a new tab)
- Sefaria – Only if you click a parsha, haftarah or daf yomi link: the text opens on Sefaria (sefaria.org), or on Hebcal (hebcal.com) for some links, and that website receives your IP address. Nothing is sent to either before you click. (privacy policy) (opens in a new tab)
- Airbnb – Only if you click an Airbnb search link on the "Where to stay" page: the Airbnb website opens with a search for the area, receives your IP address and applies its own terms and privacy policy. Nothing is sent to Airbnb before you click. (privacy policy) (opens in a new tab)
- Booking.com – Only if you click a Booking.com search link on the "Where to stay" page: the Booking.com website opens with a search for the area, receives your IP address and applies its own terms and privacy policy. Nothing is sent to Booking.com before you click. (privacy policy) (opens in a new tab)
- WhatsApp (Meta) – Only if you click a WhatsApp button: the app or website opens and the conversation is handled under WhatsApp's terms. (privacy policy) (opens in a new tab)
- Calendly – Only if you click "Book a free call": the booking page opens on Calendly's own website. (privacy policy) (opens in a new tab)
We do not sell or rent personal information.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Bus timetables and "Bus stops near me"
The "Getting around" page uses the Ministry of Transport's public GTFS timetable data, through the Open Bus project of the Public Knowledge Workshop (Hasadna). The data is shipped as a static file with this site, so nothing about you is sent to the Ministry or to Hasadna. "Bus stops near me" uses your browser's location only inside your browser to sort the stops, the same way as "Near me" in the directory; your location is never sent to us or to anyone else, and it is not stored.
Community groups
The Groups page lists links to WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram and other community groups that the group or a community organisation has published publicly. The group's service opens only when you click a link, and nothing is sent to it before that. Joining a group, and anything you share there, is between you, the group and that service, under its own terms and privacy policy.
What is saved on your device
Nothing you do here is sent to us. A few settings are kept in your own browser's local storage: "kit-consent" (remembers your cookie and map choice); "kit-a11y" (remembers your accessibility menu settings, if you change them); "local-checklist-givat-shmuel" (the boxes you tick in the newcomer checklist); "local-cost-givat-shmuel" (the numbers you type into the cost-of-living worksheet); "local-matcher-givat-shmuel" (your choices in the neighbourhood matcher); "local-temp-unit" (whether you prefer °C or °F). Clear them any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.
Links to other websites
Listings link to each place's own website, to Google Maps for directions and to phone numbers. Those sites are run by others and have their own privacy policies. Nothing is sent to them until you click.
Cookies and local storage
The site itself does not use advertising or tracking cookies. It saves a few settings in your browser, and loads third-party content only with your permission:
| Name | Category | Purpose | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|
kit-consent | Strictly necessary | Remembers your cookie choices | Until you clear it or change your choice |
kit-a11y | Strictly necessary | Remembers your accessibility menu settings | Until you clear it or change your choice |
| OpenStreetMap | Embedded media | Cookies set by OpenStreetMap when an embed is loaded | Set by the provider (see its policy) |
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purpose it was given for, or as required by law, and then delete it.

Under Israel's Privacy Protection Law you may ask to see the information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete information that is inaccurate, incomplete, unclear or out of date. You may also complain to the Privacy Protection Authority.

To use any of these rights, contact us using the details below.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold. No website or internet transmission is completely secure, so please avoid sending sensitive information (such as health or payment details) by message or email.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top.
